This volume is aimed to be an extended field guide on the butterflies in Denmark. The book covers all species occuring in Denmark today as well as extinct species and rare migrants. For each species the text is divided into the following chapters: Identification, habitat, biology, behaviour, distribution. For all species occuring in Denmark today there are several colour photos of the adult insects, habitats and larvae and for extinct species and rare migrants less photos but they are still well illustrated.
